NY or bust

by Brian Zinger on October 9, 2012

We all feel the end of Vermont’s 2012 regular trout season coming soon. In NY, the end is this coming weekend, and in order to fish in NY you need your 2012/2013 license. Friends of mine rent out my house in North River NY., to close out the season fishing in the beautiful fall foliage of the Adirondacks. I’ll be joining them for couple days. I’m looking forward to fishing the Ausable, Bouquet and Boreas, as well as Putnam Creek and Schroon. I’m also looking forward to getting together with my friends and a bottle of Single Malt at the end of the day. That Scotch and a warm fire will probably be needed as temps will be on the chilly side. I received my 1st frost this morning, and there is a chance of snow Friday night. I know I’ll be listening to some great fish stories over the next couple days, and I’m sure we’ll make some new ones of our own. If you are getting out this week bring out your white or pale colored streamers.
