March Brown’s in January

I must have picked a bad evening for  fly tying this year. John Synnott was the only one to join me last Wednesday. That’s OK, I get more flies tied and less fish stories. With John, it’s the best of both. I tied up a ton of March Brown nymphs, while John tried to duplicate a store bought fly that produced really well for us at last years Ditch Pickle Classic. He tied up some great flies that will produce, but I feel he is missing what I believe to be the most important material. There will be no pictures or anymore detail on our efforts to get that right.

I know the heading at the top of the page says we meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, I’m working on getting that changed to reflect that it is now the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. So our next event will be on Wednesday Feb 1st . We’ve had plenty of room, so all you need is a portable light and the necessary items to tie the fly of your choice or the fly that I post prior to the event evening.
