Sandy will make last few days ugly

by Brian Zinger on October 29, 2012

Hurricane Sandy is on her way and will make fishing difficult for anglers hoping to get the last few day of fishing in. High winds and 2-4 inches of rain are expected from the storm and could effect the area for the rest of the week. If you were lucky enough to get out this past week, you were treated to very favorable fishing. Warm water and air temps made for excellent fishing. John Synott and I hit a Lake Champlain trib Sunday and had an excellent morning catching several steelhead and a mix of browns and bows. Nothing huge, but tons of action in every pool. Easy fishing too. Simply swinging a Copper John and giving some action to it was about all you needed to do. John’s purple thorax CJ seemed to get most of the attention.
