If you fly fish in the Northeast, particularly Vermont. I recommend you have a minimum of these twelve flies. In general, these flies are all you'll need for everyday fly fishing. Many of these flies imitate different phases of aquatic life that are important to trout and therefore trout anglers. The only time you'll need any other flies, is when fish are feeding on a specific phase of a hatch or on terrestrials.
